SPRING into September with all this J-pop awesomeness. WARNING MAY CONTAIN ARASHI!
26 Aug 2015 - 7:44 PM  UPDATED 26 Aug 2015 - 7:46 PM

I know you have PLENTY to look forward to in September if you’re a fan of J-pop (like, oh I dunno, [alexandros] on the J-Rock sessions from 8PM Wednesdays!)

And if that wasn’t enough to make September the best month so far for J-pop, here’s a list!

1. Arashi’s “Crying Out Love” will be released.

It’s already featured in commercials for bridal and wedding business Zexy, but “Crying Out Love- Ai wo Sakebe” will officially be released on September 2nd.

2. Base Ball Bear’s “Bunkasai no Yoru” will be released.

If Arashi aren’t really your cup of tea (why don’t you love Arashi tea? Which would literally be a storm in a teacup and who doesn’t love that pun?!) then the 2nd of September still holds hope for you.

Base Ball Bears released this teaser for "Bunkasai no Yoru"

3. Femme Fatale will perform at the Pacific Media Expo!

This will be Femme Fatale’s first show overseas! For any fans of goth J-rock sounds in Australia, let’s hope that this is just one of many international performances for Femme Fatale.

They’ll be at the Pacific Media Expo on September 5!

4. EXILE’s ATSUSHI and AI will release their deut!

If you can't wait to hear their collaboration, have a look and listen at "Be Brave" right here-

(And yes, if you didn’t know, AI is having a BABY!)

The song is already being used in a drama series, but the single has yet to be released. When it’s released, the single will always include an acoustic “So Special” (their first collaboration a few years ago).

"Be Brave" will be released on the 9th of September which is going to be pretty handy because.....

5. Idoling’s final album will be released.

Idoling! fans will need to be brave in September, as the idol group releases their final album.

Their last album “SINGLE COLLECTIONG” will contain, you guessed it, will be a collection of their singles (as well as new songs). The complete box set will have 14 CDs and 7 Blu-Ray discs.

It will be released on September 9th, though they won’t be graduating until October.

6. AKB48 Janken Tournament

Never has Scissors-Paper-Rock been so competitive, at least not since it was recreated as Scissors-Paper-Rock-Lizard-Spock.

The winner of the tournament gets to be the centre of their next single!

Last year it was Miyuki Watanabe (SKE48 and NMB48)

It’s all happening on the 16th on September.

7. “Heroine Disqualified” drops in cinemas!

Kana Nishino teamed up with “Heroine Disqualified” for the PV of her song “Torisetsu”.

Everywhere else in the world, September 19th is International Talk Like A Pirate Day, but when it comes to the world of J-pop, September the 19th is Arashi Day.

They celebrated their 15th anniversary last year in Hawaii, where it was announced (by the state of Hawaii) that September 19 is “ARASHI Day”. They’ll be celebrating this year, in Japan.

What are you looking forward to next month in the world of J-pop?
