Nat Wolff from "Paper Towns" will play the lead in "Death Note"

"Paper Town" actor Nat Wolff is in final negotiations over playing Light Yagami, in the Hollywood adaptation of the Japanese horror manga “Death Note.”

The film is being developed by Warner Bros. and will be directed by Adam Wingard behind indie horrors like “The Guest” and “You’re Next.”

For those who are not familiar with “Death Note,” it is a Japanese manga that centers around a student who finds a notebook that allows him to kill anyone by writing the victim’s name.

The manga first appeared  in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 2003 while the Japanese film adaptation was released in 2006.
