A day after news broke that Eli would soon be a dad --not to mention that he's a married man-- Eli has used Twitter to speak to fans.
In a series of tweets, Eli said that he was foremost sorry that he had to keep the news a secret.
"You must all have been shocked. There have been many difficult times, but I've never once regretted my decision to join U-KISS," said Eli.
"But still, because of my idol status, my family had a tough time."
Eli said that he had to be stealthy, "even when my wife fell pregnant, I couldn't even go to the hospital and I felt like an idiot."
Eli said there were many times that he wanted to come clean, but was worried for his band members "that I spent 10 years with...like a family."
Furthermore, Eli asked fans for permission to stay with the band. "If you allow it, I'd like to keep being Eli from U-KISS," he said. He also asked for blessings "for my family and child."

Just over a week after Dongho got married, UKISS member Eli has come out to confess that he too, is a married man like his former band member.
Through Instagram on Dec.5, Eli said that fans must have noticed the ring on his finger.
He went on to explain, "You may think it was [a couple ring] with a girlfriend, but it's actually a wedding ring and I love my wife very much. With his post, he also uploaded a picture from a wedding shoot in Europe.
Not only that, but he's set to become a dad.
"We are also expecting around May next year and I’m very happy with my little family," he said. Eli said that he's been with his girlfriend for 5 years and that the two filed for marriage in secret last year in June.
Eli's 3-month pregnant wife is a former racing model who is 11 years his senior. The pair didn’t have a formal ceremony in light of Eli’s idol status. Eli’s agency has also come forward to say that the band will continue despite the shock announcement.
