Hachi the "Lucky Cat" dispenses good fortune to those who come to her.

You may not know it, but this fluffy cat who resides with her owner at a tobacco shop north of Tokyo has what the Japanese deem “lucky eyebrows.” Or perhaps better term would be, lucky eyebrows-like pattern.

Hachi has markings that resemble kanji character for the number 8 --considered good luck --  on her head, and due to this, is bringing in tourists to his post in Mito in Ibaraki prefecture.

Hachi was born just after the earthquakes in Japan in 2011 and was taken by a foster carer who then gave her over to the tobacconist in hopes that the cat would bring good luck.

Surprisingly, Hachi’s owner said that a lot of people have claimed to have seen their share of good fortune after seeing Hachi. Maybe we should all take a trip to Japan.
