Two new groups snapped up the most popular spots on YouTube views from audiences around the world in April 2016. Twice came in at number one for their song “Cheer Up” and NCT U came in at number two with their song “The 7th Sense.”
Twice is a K-pop girl group who was formed by JYP Entertainment. They came from the reality TV show Sixteen and have nine members; Mina, Dahyun, Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu and Jihyo. They debuted as a group in October 2015 with a mini-album called The Story Begins. Checkout their “Cheer Up” song that has won the YouTube world over.
NCT U is a South Korean male band formed by S.M Entertainment. They debuted this year with six band members; Ten, Doyoung, Taeil, Mark, Taeyong and Jaehyun. NCT U are part of a sub-group that comes from the Neo Culture Technology (NCT) boy group. Checkout their hit song “The 7th Sense” that has come in at number two for International YouTube audience views.
NCT U has actually made it in to the top nine twice more at number four with their song “Without You” and at number eight with their performance video of “The 7th Sense” song.
Coming it at number three was another South Korean boy group, this one created by Cho PD. Block B has been around since 2011 and has seven members; B-Bomb, Jaehyo, Taeli, Zico, P.O, U-Kwon and Park Kyung. Their song “Toy” came in at number three.

Number five is from K-pop star Kim Jun-Su or just Junsu, who’s stage name is Xia. He is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer and stage actor. He is part of the Korean pop group JYJ and was an original member in the boy band TVXQ. Xia began his solo career in 2010 with a song called Xiah. He’s a very popular performer and clearly popular around the world on YouTube. Here’s his song “How Can I Love You.”
Number six is a girl group formed from Produce 101; they formed this year on reality show Mnet. Their song “Crush” has taken over the internet.
A Korean rock band takes the number seven spot in the most popular K-pop for April. Moon Child (M.C) the MAX are from Korea and debuted in 2000. The band has three members; Lee Soo, Jae Yoon and Jeon Min-Hyuk. They’re managed by production company Yoshiki. They’ve released seven albums to date and many online songs. The song that made it to this list is “Wind Beneath Your Wings.”
Number eight is NCT U's performance video for “The 7th Sense”. And finally number nine is by J.Y Park is a South Korean musician and record producer, who has gone on to become a music executive and founder of his own entertainment company JYP Entertainment. His song “Still Alive” has made it in to the most popular of K-pop on YouTube for viewers from around the world.
