Becoming a K-Pop star requires hard-work and sacrifice, something that GOT7's Jackson knows all too well.

When GOT7's Jackson isn't going around saying weird things or cuddling up to Eric Nam, he can talk deep and serious with the rest of them.

During an interview on the May 25 episode of the Chinese variety show "Go Fridge", Jackson talked about all the sacrifices had made in order to achieve his K-Pop dreams.

The GOT7 member was initially Hong Kong's national fencing representative, and was so good that he was offered scholarships to the University of Hong Kong and Stanford! In fact, Jackson even had the chance to join the Hong Kong national fencing team for the 2012 London Olympics!

But rather than go for an Olympic gold medal, Jackson decided to pursue his K-Pop dreams instead, which didn't sit down too well with his father. Thankfully for him, Jackson's hard-work and sacrifices ultimately paid off, something that his father is undoubtedly less upset about now!
