In some unfortunate news for C-ute fans, member Chisato Okai has been diagnosed with vocal chord polyps and will undergo surgery to have them removed.

Chisato announced the news during the group's May 28 concert, before writing a blog post about her condition to all those who weren't in attendence.

In her blog, Chisato noted that she had been experiencing some singing difficulties, and after a visit to the hospital, she was diagnosed with vocal chord polyps. However, she is still able to perform without risk of further damage, and will be able to take part in the remaining C-ute concerts up until her surgery at the end of June.

We wish Chisato a speedy recovery, and we hope that she'll be back in no time!
