The early teenage years are a time when most us are too busy worrying about high-school, tests, driving tests, and the onset of puberty. But for a number of K-pop stars, not only do they have to worry about the usual teenager stuff, they also had to deal with preparing for their debut! So without further ado, here are 10 of the youngest K-pop idol debuts:
10. Ji-young - KARA
When Ji-Young joined KARA in 2008, she was only 14 years old, which definitely helped in showing off the group's cute and playful side in "Rock U"!
9. Taemin - SHINee
He may be known as a hunky idol now, but Taemin was only 14 (nearly 15) when he debuted with SHINee!
8. Suzy - miss A
Suzy started out as an online shopping model, but after JYP Entertainment's scouts spotted her, she was fast-tracked to her big debut at the grand old age of 15!
7. Changmin - TVXQ
Hard to believe TVXQ debuted way back in 2003, but it's even harder to believe that Changmin was only 15 when it all happened!
6. Minzy - 2NE1
Minzy may no longer be part of 2NE1, but her debut with the group at the tender age of 15 was one of the most memorable in recent memory.
5. Akdong Musician
This entry bends the rules a bit, but you can't have one half of Akdong Musician without the other! Not only have Suhyun and Chanhyuk blown everyone away with their talent, they were only 13 and 16 respectively when they debuted!
Debuting at just 15, IU has stunned everyone with her musical ability and her acting prowess, so much so that she's won over 30 music awards. Not bad for someone who is only 23 now!
3. Jungkook - BTS
We all knew the fresh-faced Jungkook was young, but not even we expected him to be only 15 when he debuted with BTS!
Deemed the "Queen of K-pop", BoA was only 13 when she debuted way back in 2000!
1. Seungri - BIGBANG
Not only does this year mark BIGBANG's 10th anniversary debut, and it also marks the fact that Seungri has been the group's maknae for 10 years, starting from the tender young age of 15!
