AKB48 Team K's Ayana Shinozaki has been diagnosed with Graves' Disease and will suspend all live activities.

In some unfortunate news for AKB48Team K's Ayana Shinozaki has been diagnosed with Graves' Disease and will not be participating in the group's live events as a result.

Taking to AKB48's official blog just recently, Ayana revealed her illness to all of the group's fans:  

"The result of a doctor's examination while visiting the hospital showed that I was in poor physical condition, and I was diagnosed with Graves' disease. For the time being, we've received instruction from my doctor to stop all strenuous physical activity."

While Ayana will still be participating in AKB48's 8th Annual Senbatsu General Election, she will be dialing back on any public appearances and performances.

Get well soon, Ayana, and come back once you're good and healthy!
