Korean entertainment website Dispatch reported on June 20th that actress Kim Minhee and director Hong Sangsoo (22 years her senior) were allegedly having an affair. Not long after, Hong Sangsoo was trending worldwide.
In the exclusive, Dispatch said that a source close to the Hong family had come forward to tell of the relationship between the two. Apparently, Hong has not come home since September after "Right Now, Wrong then," the internationally acclaimed film he shot with Kim.
Apparently the alleged affair happened out of the blue and was a big shock to the Hong family.
"They were married for 30 years, everyone thought they had an enviable marriage," the source told Dispatch.
The source also claimed that both Hong's wife and daughter were upset and had waited for the last 9 months for Hong to come back home.
The news comes after Kim's been making headlines for her role in the hit film, "The Wailing."
