Two years after their initial formation by Sony Music Records, all-female J-rock band Lagoon has announced that they will disband.

In a July 15 announcement on Lagoon's official website, the reason behind the band's disbandment stems from each member having a second career in addition to Lagoon, and it had become too difficult to continue doing both things properly.

While Lagoon will no longer be a group, each of the band's members have said that they will continue to pursue other musical interests.

It's always a sad day when a band disbands, and we wish the members of Lagoon the best of luck in whatever they do next!
