2007 was when Girls' Generation made their debut, and in the nine years since that day, they've been one of the industry's most prominent K-pop girl groups.

So in celebration of the ninth anniversary of their debut, here are our top nine Girls' Generation songs - in no particular order!

The group had gained some attention with their debut album, but it was "Gee" that really propelled them to the spotlight!

Considered a classic Girls' Generation track, "Genie" gave a spotlight to each group member whilst pushing the group's sound to new and exciting directions.

Probably among the group's cutest and catchiest tracks that they've released, "Oh" was a big hit in both Korea and Japan

Run Devil Run

Exchanging the cuteness for something a bit edgier, "Run Devil Run" was a shift into a new direction concept-wise whilst retaining the group's trademark catchiness. Fun fact, the song was initially written for Ke$ha before Girls' Generation took over!

The Boys

Building on their new edgy concept, "The Boys" was the group's first venture into the hip-hop genre. Not only did it have a new sound compared to their old songs, "The Boys" was also the track that introduced them to American audiences.

I Got A Boy

"I Got A Boy" was like a culmination of every musical genre Girls' Generation had tried out so far. The result? An eclectic mix of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and even a little bit of dubstep!

Love & Girls (Japanese)

"Love & Girls" was a Japanese release, and a nostalgic throwback to the group's earlier poppy sound and look.

Catch Me If You Can

"Catch Me If You Can" was the group's first release since Jessica departed, and there was just one question that people were interested in: how will Girls' Generation fare as an eight-member group? As it turns out, the girls fared just fine!

Lion Heart

One of their more recent releases, "Lion Heart" combines the group's tried-and-true pop sound with a new 1960's retro Jazz sound. Combined with the shifting of member roles, this song proves that Girls' Generation are as still relevant today as they were nine years ago.
