BIGBANG are not only one of K-pop's premier groups, but it looks like they'll be taking on a bigger role as a ambassador of South Korea!

Just recently, the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism have named BIGBANG as ambassador of the country's new rebranding initiative, titled "Creative Korea".

This new role will see BIGBANG get involved in the upcoming Rio Olympics, as well as the 2018 Winter Olympics held at Pyeongchang.

"Creative Korea" aims to rebrand South Korea's national identity and by naming BIGBANG as an ambassador, the group will play a big role in elevating the country's image, as well as promoting the initiative across the globe.
