Namie Amuro will perform the theme and insert song for the upcoming live-action "Death Note" film!

The upcoming live-action "Death Note" film adaptation - titled "Death Note Light up the NEW world" - just got someone extra special on-board - Namie Amuro!

The popular Japanese singer will perform the film's theme song "Dear Diary", which is a ballad inspired by the "Light up the NEW world" subtitle. In addition to the theme song, Namie will also be performing the insert song "Fighter", which is a dance track written from the point of view of the character Misa Amane.  

As for when fans can see the film, "Death Note Light up the NEW world" will open in Japan on October 29.
