It was a sad day when SMAP announced that they were disbanding at the end of the year, but it looks like they will give fans one last gift before they call it a day.

Just recently, the group announced that they will be releasing a final best-of album titled "SMAP 25 Years" on December 21. Fans will be given the chance to vote for what songs will appear on the album, and the top 50 songs will be included on the 3-disc album.

SMAP also stated that they will re-record some older songs in order to update the sound, and that this will be their "last work".

In addition to their final best-of album, the group will also be releasing a DVD/Blu-ray set titled "Clip! SMAP! Complete Singles" on December 28, which will feature the MVs for all 55 of their singles.

It'll be sad to say goodbye to SMAP, but this is a nice farewell present for everyone!
