Well that didn't last long!

Just a few weeks ago, Jin Akanishi and Takayuki Yamada teamed up to form a music duo called JINTAKA, something we were incredibly excited about. But after releasing just one single - "Choo Choo SHITAIN" - it looks like the honeymoon period is already over because the two have decided to disband.

According to reports, the duo recently held a live event in Tokyo on October 3 to commemorate the release of "Choo Choo SHITAIN", and Jin revealed to the audience that JINTAKA was to be no more.

The duo went on to explain that due to differing opinions on how to move the group forward, it was decided that the best course of action would be to disband. Having said that, the two reassured everyone that the decision was mutual and that there was no negativity between them.

JINTAKA will be performing on October 8 at the "GirlsAward 2016 AUTUMN/WINTER" event in Tokyo, which is expected to be the group's final performance together, so be sure to catch them before they say farewell!

It was good while it lasted, so as a last goodbye to JINTAKA, let's rewatch their quirky "Choo Choo SHITAIN" MV again:
