The 2016 Korean Pop Culture and Arts Awards ceremony took place on October 27, and showing up to the event to accept their awards - and to entertain the audience - were BTS and SHINee (G-Dragon was also a winner but wasn't in attendance).
BTS were the recipients of one of the nine Minister of Culture awards that were handed out, and upon receiving the award, Rap Monster gave a short speech thanking all their fans:
"First, we thank our fans. Also, we could only have received this great award thanks to our sunbaes who paved the way well...We think the award means that we should work harder to spread K-Pop to the rest of the world, and we will work hard. Thank you."
Choreographer Son Sung-deuk, who has choreographed dances for many famous artists including BTS, also won an award for his work. Here's BTS accepting their award and Rap Monster's speech:
This wasn't the only time BTS hit the stage - the group also performed their new hit single "Blood, Sweat, & Tears" to the delight of the crowd!
It wasn't just BTS who took home the spoils as SHINee were awarded the Prime Minister's Award, and upon receiving their award, Key thanked the public and Shawols everywhere for their support and promised that the group will "work harder to advance the pop culture".

SHINee also later took to the stage again for a performance of their latest hit single "1 Of 1", which you can check out right here:
A huge congrats to BTS, SHINee, and all the winners in this year's Korean Pop Culture and Arts Awards!
