Two of the things that Japan is most well known for is its unique brand of J-pop, and for being the homeland for those adorable Akita Inu dogs. In a unique - and slightly bizarre - real life mash-up, someone has decided to combine those two things into the first ever Japanese Akita "doggy idol" group!

Created with the help of Akita Inu Tourism, a new idol group named MOFU MOFU☆DOGS recently made their debut with the single “Waiting4U – We’ll let you MOFU MOFU Us”. Consisting of dog barks set to a fast-paced poppy beat, the song is definitely something different to the usual J-pop idol fare, as is the actual song title, which represents the loyalty of the Akita Inu.

Words aren't enough to describe the unique, surreal, and quite frankly, bizarre nature of this "doggy idol" group, so check out their debut MV right here and let us know what you think!
