During the course of 2016, we've seen a number of notable K-pop idols who have split from their groups. We've bid goodbye to a number of big-name girl groups such as 4Minute and 2NE1, and we're still waiting on comebacks from a number of artists.
Given the number of splits and disbandments this year, we've decided to take a look at a few groups who could very well be the next ones to disband (but so hope it doesn’t happen, because where would the world be without them)!?
Between members enlisting in the army and various solo projects, ZE:A have been relatively inactive in the last couple of years. While a comeback could certainly happen, it doesn't look like it is on the cards at the moment. But we really really hope there is one!
4. After School (and Orange Caramel)
The last few years have seen very little activity from After School and its sub-unit Orange Caramel, so much so that its members have all been focusing on their own individual projects. With Pledis Entertainment more focused on SEVENTEEN these days, it appears After School (and Orange Caramel) won't be coming back any time soon. Maybe they'll surprise us, because we hope they do!
Not only have Secret been inactive since 2014, but the recent departure of Sunhwa will only hinder the group's chances of a comeback. But where would the world be without them?
2. Trouble Maker
Trouble Maker hit the scene with a massive splash way back in 2011, but have remained silent since the release of "Now" in 2013. With HyunA more focused on her solo career and Hyunseung at a bit of a career crossroads since leaving BEAST, it doesn't look like a Trouble Maker comeback is on the cards any time soon. But maybe one day, again, we hope!
1. miss A
Not only have each member been focusing on solo activities for the last year-and-a-half, but with Jia now out of the group, the signs aren't positive for a miss A comeback any time soon. Our hearts just couldn't handle it though.
