Kris Wu takes on the Mannequin Challenge
Former EXO member Kris Wu took on the Mannequin challenge this week, and it was amazing. The Chinese-Canadian pop star directed his own Mannequin video, organising a lot of people to 'freeze' simultaneously. Then, suddenly, everyone starts moving again - dancing hard, jumping and banging heads in the air.
The Mannequin Challenge is an online video trend where people 'freeze' in certain poses while a camera pans around them.
Kris had the cast of “Europe Raiders” pertake in his Mannequin Challenge, which includes Hong Kong movie star Tony Leung and Chinese actress Tiffany Tang.

2016 Golden Horse Film Award winners
Movie stars gathered in Taipei for the Oscars of Chinese-language cinema last Saturday. Nearly 50 films were nominated for the 53rd Golden Horse Awards. The highlight of the event was when Hong Kong co-stars, Zhou Dongyu and Ma Sichun, shared the Best Actress Award. They won for their performance in Soul Mate; a romantic drama about the love and life of two best friends.
Chinese director Zhang Dalei’s black-and-white film The Summer Is Gone was a dark horse, winning the coveted Best Picture Award.
China’s Fan Wei was another surprise winner as he beat better-known Hong Kong rivals to win Best Actor for his role as a slick farm manager in Mr. No Problem.
The Awards also paid tribute to Abbas Kiarostami, the iconic Iranian director who died earlier this year.
Other winners with two awards each were: “Detective Chinatown” (Best Action Choreography, Best Makeup/Costume); “Mad World” (Best New Director: Wong Chun, Best Supporting Actress: Elaine Jin); “Trivisa” (Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing); “Mr. No Problem” (Best Actor: Kai Ko, Best Adapted Screenplay); “Crosscurrent” (Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design); and “I Am Not Madam Bovary” (Best Director: Feng Xiaogang, The Audience Choice Award).
The event included a red carpet appearance by Frances Juliette Binoche and performances by Coco Lee and Singapore’s Stephanie Sun.
Stephanie Sun's performance surprised many, with her live performance of “One world” receiving many criticisms. Chinese media discovered she was sick when rehearsing. She admitted that she’d been sick since Monday but still came to Taiwan hoping to do her best.
