With 2NE1 now sadly disbanded, it remains to be seen what each of the group's members will be up to now. For Dara, she recently took to Twitter to reveal that she will be on the JTBC variety show "Talking Street":
The singer invited all interested fans to the filming of her "Talking Street" appearance and according to a number of fan accounts, Dara talked about a variety of topics, including her insecurities whilst in 2NE1.
After initially talking about her life in the Philippines and meeting Park Bom, Minzy, and CL one by one upon the formation of 2NE1, Dara then revealed that she felt like she was the least talented member in the group and her role was merely decorative. She then told a story of when 2NE1 appeared on "Yee Hee Yeol's Sketchbook" shortly after they debuted, which highlighted her lack of confidence in her own abilities.
During 2NE1's appearance on "Yee Hee Yeol's Sketchbook", Dara recalled that while Yee Hee Yeol complimented Minzy for her dancing, Bom for her voice, and CL for her rapping, she was complimented for her looks and her skills or talents weren't mentioned. This story was then followed up by another story in which Dara felt awkward and under pressure during the filming of "2NE1 TV" as the director wanted to improvise a scene, something she wasn't comfortable with.
However, despite those moments of insecurity, Dara revealed that Bom, CL, and Minzy were always there to console her whenever times got tough, showing that there's plenty of love left between the 2NE1 members.
During the final moments of filming her "Talking Street" appearance, Dara was asked what she would be liked to be referred to now as up until now, she has been called "2NE1's Sandara Park" or "2NE1's Dara". In a response that's bound to make Blackjacks happy, Dara stated that she's got to where she is because of 2NE1 and that she wants people to continue calling her "2NE1's Dara".
However, it wasn't all serious stuff though as Dara also surprised fans with a very small snippet of 2NE1's upcoming final song "Goodbye", which will be coming out on January 21.
Are you looking forward to Dara's appearance on "Talking Street"?
