It was a sad day when SMAP disbanded at the end of 2016 and it appears the members intend to move on from their time as a group.

According to a new post from Johnny's Entertainment, the official SMAP website will be shutting down at the end of January. For fans wishing to keep updated on the activities of each ex-SMAP member, the announcement states that news and announcements will now be found on each of the artists' individual websites.

"Thank you very much for continuing to support SMAP all these years. This site will be shutting down at the end of January. For further updates about Masahiro Nakai, Takuya Kimura, Goro Inagaki, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and Shino Katori, please visit each artist's individual site."
