Collaborations between great musical talent, from different regions, are always great to see, so we asked Asian Pop performers which Australian and Asian Pop artists they want to see collaborate.
Y'know, to help foster international relations (and maybe bring more Asian Pop artists to our shores at the same time). Win, win!
Last year's Eurovision runner-up (and Aussie rep), Dami Im, was a popular answer. She was mentioned multiple times as PopAsians wanted to see her combine her amazing vocals with powerhouse singers such as Ailee, Hyorin, Taeyeon, Mamamoo, Lyn and Yoon Mirae.
Another favourite was Guy Sebastian, it was suggested he could compliment BIGBANG's Taeyang. Also mentioned were would-be sexy rapper duo Jay Park and Iggy Azalea as well as a potential duet between Delta Goodrem and IU.
Another awesome collaboration would be Sia and Korean rapper C Jamm as it would be a crazy mashup with her wild vocals combined with his hard-hitting raps.
**Side note: C Jamm is actually coming to Sydney this April to perform a show!**
Power dancers Justice Crew and Rain, could produce some epic choreography collaborations - accompanied with vocals.
I personally want to see Troye Sivan work with BTS on a track, I reckon they would blend well together - especially since Rap Monster and Jungkook have covered his songs in the past. Another interesting coupling could be Jessica Mauboy with EXO's Chen. A bit different but I think their vocals could compliment each other.
There's been a few Asian-Australian collaborations before such as 5 Seconds of Summer and ONE OK ROCK on 'Take What You Want' as well as BTS and Thanh Bui on the Vietnamese version of 'Danger'.
Who do you want to see collaborate next?
