In a surprise announcement, Australia's longest running video game TV show "Good Game" has been cancelled.

In a new statement released on the "Good Game" Facebook page today, it was revealed that two of the show's presenters were leaving to pursue new opportunities. Due to this setback and changes in the way audiences are now receiving gaming news, the ABC decided to cancel the show and its various spin-offs bar "Good Game: Spawn Point".

It would appear that this cancellation announcement came as a last-minute decision as the "Good Game" Twitter account alluded to new episodes in 2017 as recently as last week.

Here's the cancellation statement from "Good Game" in its entirety.
