Following her highly-publicised battle against breast cancer, it appears that Japanese TV presenter Mao Kobayashi is winning the war because she has been discharged from the hospital.

According to a new blog post, Kobayashi revealed that she returned home on Sunday (January 29) from the hospital before expressing her sincere thanks to all her fans for their support. In addition to her gratitude towards her fans, Kobayashi also thanked the support from her family, particularly her two young children.

Following her initial breast cancer diagnosis in 2014, Kobayashi started a blog titled "Kokoro" in which she wrote about her illness and how she is dealing with it. Not only has "Kokoro" since become one of Japan's most popular blogs, Kobayashi was recently named one of the BBC's "100 Women 2016" due to her inspirational battle with cancer and her heartfelt writings.

This is great news and we're wishing Mao Kobayashi all the best for the future!
