It goes without saying that beauty standards are held quite high in South Korea, especially for K-pop idols. For 9MUSESKyungri, she recently posted up two makeup-less selfies and subsequently faced a wave of criticism from netizens for going "bare face". However, Kyungri didn't let the comments get to her and she replied in the best way possible.

In a new Twitter post, Kyungri shared the same two selfies that received criticism from netizens, along with an empowering message telling everyone that she's perfectly happy with the way she is.

Here's a translation of Kyungri's message:

"Same day, different photos.

One side is being criticized.

Those of you who choose to assess other's faces/visuals on SNS based on beauty standards (personal)

I am perfectly happy with the face I have."

What do you think about Kyungri's response?
