Following reports that renowned director Hayao Miyazaki was thinking about coming out of retirement for one last film, Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki confirmed that this is indeed the case.

During a pre-Oscars interview with Suzuki for "The Red Turtle", the producer confirmed that Miyazaki has un-retired and is currently in Tokyo working hard on his next feature-length film.

Sukuki stated that Miyazaki approached him with 20 minutes worth of storyboards for a new film last July, to which he told him that the idea was "fascinating." As for what the new feature film idea is, nothing is known just yet but there is speculation it could be an extension on the Studio Ghibli Museum short film "Kemushi no Boro (Boro The caterpillar)", a project that Miyazaki has been planned for nearly two decades.

Are you excited for Hayao Miyazaki's new film?
