It goes without saying that last week had it's fair share of drama, mainly due to the impeachment of South Korean president Park Geun-hye in a historical ruling. As South Korea is reeling from the after effects of this decision, it appears that citizens have began rallying to Girls' Generation's "Into the New World" and Girl's Day's "Female President", causing both songs to have a surge in popularity.

According to new reports, both "Female President" and "Into the New World" have managed to to Melon's "sudden surge" music chart following Friday's ruling, coming at No.1 and No.2 respectively.

While the ruling has caused a wide variety of reactions around the world, many South Korean citizens have taken to the streets in celebration, all while singing and dancing to "Into the New World".

What are your thoughts on the sudden resurgence of "Into the New World" and "Female President"?
