This year - 2017 - has brought some lovely duet collabs, and it's only MARCH!
Here are some of our favourites:
Soyou & Baekhyun - Rain
Sistar's Soyou and EXO's Baekhyun came together for 'Rain,' an emotional ballad that was, fittingly, released on Valentine's Day. Last year, Baekhyun collaborated with Miss A's Suzy on hit track, 'Dream.' Soyou is known as the queen of collaborations with much of her previous works, such as 'Some' with Junggigo, becoming smash hits.
These two powerhouses are a match made in (collab) heaven:
Dean & Baek Yerin - Come Over
Dean and 15& Baek Yerin's voices on 'Come Over' are a magical combo. They both have clear and distinctive sounds that blend together like milky butter, creating an easy-listening tune. A classic to turn up when driving in the car with the windows down, or when chilling in a cafe.
Eric Nam & Somi - You, Who?
Released on Somi's 16th birthday on March 9, 'You, Who?' is a cute upbeat track from the former I.O.I member and singer-songwriter Eric Nam. It's a sweet and playful song, perfect for the Springtime. There's strong chemistry between the duo and their little dance together on the MV gives us all the feels. Aww.
Yesung & Seulgi - Darling U
Super Junior's Yesung teamed up with Red Velvet's Seulgi on his self-penned track 'Darling U.' The SM Entertainment duo have excellent harmonisation while portraying the song's feelings of being in love but being unsure how the other person feels.
Suzy & Park Won - Don't Wait For Your Love
'Don't Wait For Your Love' is a refreshing guitar ballad between Miss A's Suzy and indie artist Park Won. Their voices combine in creamy perfection to create a lovely melody that is smooth and pleasant to listen to.
Gain x Jeff Bernat - Pray
Brown Eyed Girls' Gain and Filipino-American singer Jeff Bernat paired up for an English-Korean single, 'Pray.' Their voices compliment well together to produce a harmonious track that is gentle and relaxed.
Krystal and June One Kim - I Don't Wanna Love You
f(x)'s Krystal and June One Kim, from indie band Glen Check, combined two very different genres with their collaboration on 'I Don't Wanna Love You.' The K-Pop girl group member and the electro-rock band singer released this quirky alternative-EDM track on Valentine's Day.
Secretly shipping some of these pairings. Which duet songs have you been loving so far?
