K-Pop’s edgiest girl group in Bangkok

Red Velvet were just in town to meet-and-greet their Thai fans recently. If the crowds waiting to catch a glimpse of the girls were anything to go by, they’re doing well here. We love how they‘re doing the K-Pop thing in their own way as well as their pop-inflected R'n'B sound.

They sent a message to their Thai fans on Facebook:

S20 is Back for Songkran!

During Thailand’s hottest month of the year is the Songkran Water festival, which has long been rooted in Thai tradition. Celebrated annually from April 13 - 15 Songkran is marked as the Thai New Year. While the traditional celebrations still go on today, modern Songkran gives way to a countrywide water fight where people (mostly teens) take to the streets to splash each other with water and party. It’s a great time to visit Thailand, whether you want to take part or just witness the world’s biggest water festival!

The huge three day EDM event, S20, is the highlight of the year for many electronic music fans, and the highlight of Songkran. The giant EDM-party-come-water-fight takes place on RCA and is totally crazy. Check out the photos from previous years. This year’s headliners include Dash Berlin, Don Diablo, Kaskade, Yellow Fang, Kill the Noise and many more!

DaboyWay x Yaya Release New Single “Make It Happen”

We’re loving the new single “Make it Happen” by Thaitanium’s DaboyWay featuring Yaya. Released last week it already has well over a million views and counting! Not bad for a Thai-language hip-hop tune.
