Cheerleader concepts are nothing new in K-pop, but netizens think one rookie group have directly copied TWICE's cheerleader look and dance choreography.

Rookie girl group LipBubble recently debuted with their first single "Popcorn," which takes on a cute cheerleader concept. However, netizens were quick to notice that LipBubble's concept was eerily similar to TWICE's concept for "Cheer Up," noting that the outfits, colours, and even poses were directly lifted from TWICE

In addition to the similar-looking concepts, netizens have also noted that some moves in LipBubble's "Popcorn" choreography is very similar to TWICE's moves in "Knock Knock."

Needless to say, netizens had a lot of things to say about these similarities:

  • "Hul, they're exactly the same.."
  • "??? It's too similar."
  • "Seriously, what are they doing."
  • "Is this noise marketing?"
  • "It's the same."
  • "Hul, I thought it was TWICE when first looking at a glance."

What are your thoughts about Lipbubble's concept? Do you think they copied TWICE?
