Rebooting movies has been one of the prevailing storylines in Hollywood in recent years, and more often than not, they haven't been great. But after watching the latest Power Rangers reboot (and enjoying it quite a bit), Lucky and Dan decide to take a look at the other end of the reboot spectrum - what movie reboots have actually been good?
Among the many reboots that have been made over the years, Lucky thinks that the recent Dredd reboot was great (even though it didn't do so well at the box office) and the 2009 Star Trek reboot caught her eye despite never being a fan of the series. Beyond the movie world, Lucky also thinks that the Battlestar Galactica TV reboot was also worth a mention.
For Dan, who is a big horror film buff, he is more keen on the recent slate of classic horror remakes. While there have been some sub-par reboots (like Friday the 13th), Dan was a big fan of the new Evil Dead and Halloween remakes, saying that they honour the original films while also bringing something new to the table.
