From SEVENTEEN to TWICE, it's going to be a huge month, right?

April was a big month for K-Pop, with WINNER making a triumphant return to the charts and IU releasing her fourth studio album. We also saw Minzy make her long-awaited solo debut, EXID return, and so much more. Now all eyes are on May, with the month promising a slew of exciting-ness to look forward to. Check out some of May’s most-anticipated releases below!

Triple H: May 1

HyunA’s had a huge career, finding fame not only as a soloist, but also with 4minute and Trouble Maker. On May 1, the “Bubble Pop” diva will try to work her magic again by teaming up with PENTAGON’s Hui and E'Dawn for the group project, Triple H. A teaser from the trio’s first mini-album already sounds incredibly promising, delivering a nostalgic ‘90s vibe that should please fans of both HyunA and PENTAGON.

HIGHLIGHT’s Junhyung: May 2

After HIGHLIGHT’S sensational comeback in March, many fans are excited to see member Junhyung return as a solo artist. The 27-year-old is known for his musical talents as a songwriter and composer, having already crafted countless hits for HIGHLIGHT over the years. Considering how successful the group’s last album was, we’re expecting big things from Junhyung’s new single with rapper Heize.

Lovelyz: May 2

On May 2, Lovelyz will be back with a repackaged version of their second full-length album, R U Ready?. The Woolim Entertainment stars already released one of the most interesting tracks of the year with February’s “WoW!,” so anticipation is high for their impending comeback.

The East Light: May 18

Teenage pop-rock band The East Light aren’t very well known, but they’ve recently been thrust into the spotlight thanks to member Lee Woojin’s participation in Produce 101. Hoping to capitalise on the newfound attention, the band will release a digital single in mid-May. Unfortunately, it looks like Lee Woojin himself won’t be part of this comeback if recent teaser photos are anything to go by, but I’m still looking forward to it.

The current reigning queens of K-Pop will be back to top the charts again with the follow-up to February’s “Knock Knock.” TWICE already made chart history with their last album, TWICEcoaster: Lane 1, which became the highest-selling girl group album in Gaon history. Will they do it all over again with their next album?

DSP Media have really backed APRIL over the past year to help the group become as popular as their former stars like KARA and Rainbow. APRIL managed to show some improvement on the charts earlier this year with “April Story,” so it’ll be interesting to see how their next album does. Making things doubly exciting is that the group’s comeback will coincide with a new Mnet reality show, giving fans even more to look forward to.

Last but not least is the almighty SEVENTEEN! The Pledis Entertainment stars will make their first comeback of 2017 at the end of May after cementing themselves as one of K-Pop’s biggest new boy bands last year. As usual, the boys will be writing and producing their own music, and if their previous hits are anything to go by, the next one will be just as amazing.
