TWICE may be prepping for their highly-anticipated May comeback, but their 2016 songs are still racking up accolades this year!
The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry just released its latest annual "Global Music Report," which is a numbers breakdown on how the mainstream recording industry around the world is faring. Among the various numbers in the report, it also contains a very interesting country-by-country list of best selling songs and albums.
For South Korea, 2016 saw many super-popular songs and albums be released by numerous artists, but according to the report from the IFPI, the most popular K-pop song in 2016 is none other than TWICE's "Cheer Up"!
Wow! With TWICE's popularity continuing to grow at a super-fast rate around the world, it will be interesting to see what next year's "Global Music Report" will have to say about South Korea.
