"K-pop Star" winners reportedly sign with YG
The 11-year-old duo Boyfriend, who won the sixth, and final season of Korea’s popular audition program K-Pop Star have decided which agency they'll be joining. A month after their big win, Park Hyun-jin and Kim Jong-seob have reportedly chosen YG Entertainment. Reports from Korea state that YG have said they've signed a contract with the boys. The agency has given rise to huge stars like BIGBANG and 2NE1, so we're excited to see where what 'Boyfriend' achieves in the future.
Mixed reactions to TWICE's title song
While girl group TWICE gained love and support for their comeback this week, there have been mixed reactions from fans on the title song "Signal." The intergalactic track, with an alien, is the first one written and composed by their agency’s boss Park Jin-young. It's had mixed reactions. But many must love it because ‘Signal’ is dominating numerous domestic and international music charts, and the bubbly music video has recorded more than ten million views in just 31 hours after release.
"BLING BLING" comeback from iKon
A new style and new start for iKON. The seven-headed iconic boy group are coming back with their new album ‘New Kids: Begin’ on May 2, and are expected to release consecutive albums under the concept ‘New Kids.’ iKON also revealed their title song will be a track composed and written by its own members B.I. and Bobby, called ‘Bling Bling.’ YG Entertainment says iKON has upgraded their skills in the past year, and added a stronger touch of hip-hop into their new album.
