While there are many important stages that comprise of a K-pop group's career, arguably the most important part is their debut. As making a great first impression among fans is incredibly important, this gave way to a very interesting question - what were the best K-pop debuts?

In a new thread over on Reddit, K-pop fans got into a most fascinating discussion about what their favourite K-pop debuts were. With Reddit being the home to a large number of fans who have diverse tastes and interests the answers were certainly very interesting.

Here are some of the best K-pop debuts ever according to K-pop fans:

  • To start things off for me I think it's gotta be Black Pink with how killer their 2 debut songs were. Boombayah and Whistle were top notch songs to debut with.

  • the one of the group of dudes w/ skinny jeans and talking about how noona is so pretty
but seriously, Replay is timeless and holy c*** it's their 9th anniversary tomorrow........

  • Obligatory SNSD - Into The New World comment. Probably the most influential and famous debut song in kpop...

  • Seventeen's! Albeit I only found out about them during Mansae, but Adore U was.. refreshing. They had something that was quite unique since debut. It was youthful without being too cute, funky and upbeat with killer choreo. And their stage performances were amazing. They were not monster rookies for nothing. I honestly can't say enough good things about Seventeen, they're such a well rounded group.

  • 2NE1's Fire.

  • Favourite and most promising debut for me was LADIES' CODE with Bad Girl. I was originally drawn to the group after discovering Ashley was going from K-Pop dance covers on YouTube to a leader of a girl group. In addition, their individual video teasers prior to their debut was something different in the K-Pop scene with the use of firearms at the time. When they released the MV, Sojung's voice was so captivating.
Another debut I enjoyed was MAMAMOO's Mr. Ambiguous, their musical style was very different during their era, and I'm glad I discovered them through Mint Chocolate.
