May was a big month for K-pop, with everyone from iKON and PSY to TWICE and LOVELYZ making comebacks. Luckily for fans, June is shaping up to be just as major, with a promising mix of rookies, rising stars, and veteran artists all set to return. Check out our guide to some of the month’s biggest comebacks below!
Rookie girl group ELRIS will make their debut on June 1. The group is already receiving attention thanks to member Kim Sohee, who found fame on K-pop Star 6 and recently released the solo single “Spotlight.”
Girls’ Generation’s main dancer Hyoyeon will release her second solo single “Wannabe,” featuring rapper San E, on June 1. It'll be the follow up to her first solo track, the SM Station single “Mystery.”
Starship Entertainment’s Cosmic Girls have been making a name for themselves over the past year. After making waves with “Secret” and “I Wish,” the 13-member girl group will release their first full-length album Happy Moment on June 7.
We've seen a bunch of I.O.I members promoting in girl groups over the past year, but on the 7th we'll get the group’s first solo act. Having already teased fans with her pre-release single “Weak,” Kim Chungha will make her official solo debut with “Why Don’t You Know” featuring rapper Nucksal.
Second generation girl group T-ara will sadly release their final single, “What’s My Name?” on June 14. Their farewell promotions will only be with four of the group’s six members, but with hit maker Brave Brothers producing their new single, there’s still a lot to look forward to.
Almost four years after his last album, the legendary G-Dragon will finally make his solo comeback on June 8. The title of his new album Kwon Ji Yong is taken from his real name, indicating that it might be his most personal release ever.
STELLAR’s comeback has been a long time in the making because the girls have been crowd-funding their new album through Makestar. The campaign has been the most successful in Makestar’s history with over $94,000 raised, and word is STELLAR will return with a new fifth member for their comeback.
Hui and E’Dawn have been busy promoting as Triple H with Hyuna, but they’ll be back on June 12 with PENTAGON. The rookie boy band will release their third mini-album Ceremony, which will definitely be worth checking out.
While an exact date has yet to be nailed down, BLACKPINK are set to make their first comeback in approximately seven months. They’re one of the top trending rookies, so anything they put out is going to be exciting.
