G-Dragon rules charts with comeback, kicks off World Tour
BIGBANG member G-Dragon’s new title song “Untitled, 2014” is firmly ranking in the first spot of all major Korean charts, six days in a row, since its release last Thursday. His self-titled album “Kwon Ji-yong,” is also going strong on the charts. BIGBANG’s leader, who sings, raps, and produces is breaking records with his new album, sweeping iTunes charts in 39 countries, entering the Billboard 200 charts, and hitting more than 10 million views for his title song’s music video on YouTube in just two days. GD also successfully kicked off his third solo World Tour, “ACT III M.O.T.T.E,” on June 10. The tour began in Seoul, with around 40,000 fans showing up.
“4EVER WITH BTS”: The Bangtan Boys celebrate 4th anniversary
BTS celebrated the fourth anniversary of their debut on Tuesday, June 13. The seven-member boy group from Big Hit Entertainment celebrated at the “2017 BTS Home Party,” in their home country Korea. The event was part of “BTS Festa,” an annual event the boys hold, beginning on June 1 until the actual anniversary day. Jungkook and Jimin’s duet song “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” a self-composed song called “4 O’clock” by Rap Monster and V, and an exclusive stage clip of “Wings” are gifts BTS released prior to the anniversary, for their fans.
Along with their fourth anniversary, the group has a lot to celebrate this year, including their recent Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist.
