Last year's popular K-drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" featured many highlights, but perhaps the most memorable moment was the now-meme worthy line  "Do you like Messi?" For those who are unaware, the line was asked by the show's main character, Kim Bok-joo" as a way to indicate her interest in a boy, and this little moment soon became the show's "viral" moment that fans quickly embraced.

So when a fan decided to ask Produce 101 contestant Kim Samuel "Do you like Messi?" everyone was expecting a "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" reference in reply. What they got instead was something much more unexpected - and hilarious!

Kim Samuel took the question at face value rather than as a meme and answered honestly, revealing that he does like Messi but prefers Cristiano Ronaldo as his favourite soccer player!

Needless to say, fans have been having a field day in regards to Kim Samuel's cute response:

Looks like "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" is next up on Kim Samuel's to-watch list!
