CLC made headlines this year when they shed their cute image for a 4minute-inspired 'girl crush' concept for their "Hobgoblin" comeback in January.

While many fans loved the group's new look, the girls are now planning yet another image overhaul for their next album, due later this month.

According to Naver, the Cube Entertainment girl group will drop a brand new mini-album at the end of July with a completely different concept than the edgy 'girl crush' image they sported last time.

This isn't a huge surprise for the girls, who have changed their sound and image with almost every album release since they debuted in 2015 with "Pepe." They've also undergone a lineup change, transforming from five members to seven, but nothing has helped them get hugely popular yet.

While many fans will be excited to see the new-look CLC, it's a bit of a surprise considering that their last album, Crystyle, showed an improvement for the group on the charts. Crystyle became their highest-selling album to date both domestically and internationally, "Hobgoblin" was their highest-charting single, and even their YouTube views improved.

Will their next comeback prove to be sixth time's the big-hit charm?
