TWICE have been one of the main talking points in Japan ever since they debuted in the country a few weeks ago, and now the numbers confirm that the girls are one the 20 most popular things among Japanese teenagers!

According to a new survey from market research company MACROMILL, INC, where 1,000 Japanese high school students of both genders aged 15-19 were asked about the 20 most popular pieces of content among their generation, three Korean entries made the list, one of whom was TWICE.

Topping the list was the popular messenger app Line, which garnered 75.8% of the votes and was the most popular thing among Japanese teenagers. Coming in at No.6 on the list is a 2nd Korea-based messenger app, Snow, which garnered 29.5% of the votes.

And finally, coming in at No.16 with 12% of the votes was TWICE. What makes this placing particularly impressive is that most of the list comprises of popular smartphone apps, making TWICE a notable (and popular) exception among Japanese teenagers.

A big congrats to TWICE for their successful debut and their impact in Japan!
