But they don’t explain why the “d’s” had to be uppercase.

There’s plenty of music to get excited about over the next two months, especially out of Japan. Well, add another release to the ever-growing list — Tokyo rockers Mrs. GREEN APPLE will release their fifth major single “WanteD! WanteD!” on August 30. Catch a sneak peek of it below.

Not answered by this video: why the “d’s” in “wanted” are capitalised, one of the stranger stylistic decisions I’ve seen lately from a genre that loves randomly smashing grammar rules. But what is made clear through the clip: this zippy number features a shout-along hook that seems built to get people waving their hands in the air over the next few months as Mrs. GREEN APPLE play various festivals across Japan. Yet they work in a jarring element as well, dropping in the sort of bass short-circuits you’d expect from EDM. They don’t interrupt the song though, as the band just sings over them like nothing is generating sparks over in the corner.

So who exactly are Mrs. GREEN APPLE? It’s a five-piece band that debuted in 2013, working their way up the ranks until releasing their first single in 2015,Speaking,” which went on to soundtrack the ending credits of the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V. They’ve grown in popularity since, and seem poised to only get bigger with their forthcoming. Keep an ear out for it next month.
