It was recently reported that JYP Entertainment is planning to launch a new girl group, with official auditions scheduled for August.

Now, in even more exciting news, it looks like the group will be put together through a survival program, much like SIXTEEN which created TWICE.

According to Naver, JYP Entertainment is currently discussing plans for the program with Mnet. However, JYP has refuted earlier reports that the show will be 'SIXTEEN2,' leaving fans guessing how the agency will make it different to SIXTEEN.

Do you think JYP's next K-pop competition show can match the popularity of SIXTEEN?
