After some time away and a change of companies, Juniel is making a socially-conscious comeback.

The singer-songwriter's agency told Naver that she'll be back with a new digital single on August 8th, which will tackle the touchy subject of dating harassment. The 23-year-old, who wrote the song herself, was inspired by a recent case in which a man harassed a woman with abusive text messages until she was forced to call a domestic violence hotline.

Juniel says that she's experienced something similar herself so she's hoping to raise awareness around the issue with her new single.

What do you think of Juniel's brave new direction?
