BTS fans (a.k.a. ARMYs) are known for their unwavering dedication to their idols, but one ARMY recently took things to a whole new level by using the band as an excuse to stick a hammer in her mouth.

The 14-year-old BTS fan, named Kaley, was chatting to a friend about the group when she got so hyped up that she decided to stick a hammer in her mouth. Literally. After an image of her with the tool wedged in her gob got enough retweets, one of the inquisitive minds over at Buzzfeed reached out to the teen to find out her motivation behind this little stunt.

Kaley explained that she came up with the brilliant idea whilst sending photos of one of the BTS members to a friend.

"I was sending her pictures of one of them, [and] he’s good-looking," she told the listicle website. "So I sent it and said, ‘He’s so beautiful I could shove a hammer in my mouth.’"

When her friend called her bluff, Kaley decided to make good on her promise.

While she managed to get the hammer into her mouth, getting it out was a little trickier. "It was a little too big to fit in my mouth in the first place, but getting it out was even more of a problem," Kaley told Buzzfeed. Thankfully, the hammer was extracted after about 10 minutes of awkward jiggling about.

Needless to say, this little "hammer in mouth" incident drew in some amused responses from netizens online:

Would you ever stick stuff in your mouth to get the attention of BTS, or do you prefer to just buy their albums and watch their videos on YouTube instead?
