Women are ruling the K-pop charts this year!

We all know that Heize has been slaying the charts this year, and now she's broken a record!

Her R&B ballad "You, Rain, Clouds" has logged 32 days at No. 1 on Melon's Daily Chart (the biggest digital chart in Korea), while her hip-hop single "Don't Know You" logged six days on top, giving her a total of 38 days at No. 1 - the most of any artist in 2017.

She surpasses Ailee, whose Goblin OST "I Will Go to You Like the First Snow," earned 37 days at No. 1.

Heize has emerged as somewhat of a Korean 'it' girl since shooting to fame on Unpretty Rapstar in 2015. Since then, the 25-year-old has racked up hit-after-hit on the charts, including "Don't Come Back," "And July," and "Star."

I.O.I's Chungha finding success with her first single "Why Don't You Know" and IU staging a successful comeback with her Palette album, it's great to see so many women ruling the K-pop charts this year!
