JYP Entertainment is on a roll these days!
According to reports, the agency just recorded its highest profits among entertainment companies for the second quarter of 2017, pulling in approximately USD $6 million.
A JYP source said: "In the first half [of the year] TWICE’s two albums sold 600,000 copies and GOT7’s album sold over 350,000 copies.
"In the first half of 2017 alone, our sales are approaching our entire sales volume for 2016 (about 1,100,000 copies), so this has increased our profits."
The other 'Big 3' companies, YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment, earned USD $3.8 million and USD $1.2 million respectively.
YG's Q2 releases include WINNER's Fate Number Four, SECHSKIES' The 20th Anniversary, PSY's 4X2=8, iKON's New Kids: Begin, G-Dragon's Kwon Ji Yong, and BLACKPINK'S As If It's Your Last.
