Girls' Generation made their highly-anticipated 10th anniversary comeback a few weeks ago, and the group haev proceeded to make some history on the Billboard charts!
For the week of August 26, 2017 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, Girls' Generation have managed to take the No.1 spot with their new album "Holiday Night." Not only is this an impressive achievement, but Girls' Generation have made some history by having the most albums hit No.1 on the World Albums chart by a K-pop girl group, tying with Red Velvet for the honour.
It wasn't just Girls' Generation who have had a strong week on the charts. WANNA ONE had their big debut last week and that has translated to a solid showing on the World Albums chart, coming in at No.3 with their first mini-album "1x1=1." EXO had another solid week, coming in at No.4, while Jessica Jung's 10th anniversary album "My Decade" debuts at an impressive No.5.
A big congrats to Girls' Generation for a history-making week on the Billboard charts, and a big congrats to all the other K-pop artists for a strong showing!
