According to reports, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that T.O.P has been assigned reservist status by the Ministry of National Defense. He is being transferred from the police department on August 28, to complete his mandatory service as a public service worker.

Soompi reports that according to police, T.O.P will serve under the supervision of the Military Manpower Administration in his residential jurisdiction.

The final trial for T.O.P's marijuana case took place on July 20, when the court reportedly handed down its sentence for the BIGBANG rapper.

According to a report from Korean media outlet Star News, T.O.P received 2 years of probation with a suspended 10-month prison sentence (meaning T.O.P will go to prison for 10 months if he breaks his probation during the next 2 years), and a fee of 12,000 won.
