According to reports, GFRIEND were on the way to the 2017 Incheon K-pop Concert on September 9 when the group were involved in a minor car accident near the venue. The group's agency, Source Music, has since released a new statement on GFRIEND's official fan cafe, writing that the girls were immediately taken to the hospital and aside from a sprained little finger on Yerin's right hand and a few minor bruises, the group and their manager are okay. Their performance at the concert was ultimately cancelled due to the accident.
The company stated that GFRIEND are currently resting and that their scheduled September 13 comeback will be continuing on, before writing an apology to fans who were shocked by the news.
Not long after GFRIEND's minor accident, fellow girl group DIA were also involved in a small car accident.
According to a new post on the group's Instagram, DIA were on the way to a fan signing on September 10 when their van collided with car in front of them. Thankfully, no one was hurt and DIA was able to make their fan signing as scheduled. The group's company, MBK Entertainment, also issued out an apology for all those who were worried about the group, as well as those involved in the minor accident.
We're just glad everyone is okay. Rest up, GFRIEND and DIA, and return when you're all good and ready!
